Valeo’s visit
We went to Valeo and we visited the Valeo factory produces windscreen wipers, it is one of the first world producers and the major pioneer. It is a completely automated site. To see the functioning of the machines of production was very interesting, in spite of a noisy atmosphere and a malodorous rubber.

The Valeo's visit

We were invited to see a Valeo's factory which is in charge of the production of glass wipers.

First we were introduce to the situation of the company and its development in the world.
We could see that Valeo was present all around the world with sites in Europa, America, Africa and Asia.
Always in one of the first ranks in all the sectors it's in, we saw that the company Valeo could stand against the competition of the countries in way of development thanks to the innovation of its products, some years in advance of the competitors. As a exemple of this technological advance, we were shown the revolutionary aquablade.

Then, we were invited to see the production's site. It was a chain working automated, with one technician supervisor by chain, and one technician in chief by group of production. This technologie permit to compet with the number of products producted by the competitors.

We were then invited to lunch in Valeo's restaurant. This was very kind of the Valeo's team, and the atmosphere was very nice.

Finally, I conserve a very pleasant souvenir from this visit and the hospitality of the Valeo's team.

Mercedes Benz Company

Tuesday, May 15 we went in the complex of Mercedes-benz to go visited the engines factory .
It was created in 1926 by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.
The name of the firm is the name of the daughter of Karl Benz (Mercedes).
All the buildings of the manufactory were destroyed in the second world war,
it remained one building and the legend says that it was the first built .
The factory specializes in manufacturing car's engine. We could see lines production very well organized.
The factory consists of thirty-nine professional workers specialized in differents fields (three groups of ten on the chains and one another group for the maintenance), but most of the work is done by autonomous robots. the factory is divided in three production's lines during the visit, we could have known that the engines are manufactured by Step. The factory has a high production volume.

Valeo factory

We visited the Valeo factory the last morning we spent in Stuttgart.
We were welcomed by an engineer and by the CEO.

They showed us a little presentation, which taught us about the history of Valeo, and how it expanded in the world. Then we drank apple juice and other drinks, ate some biscuits, and we started the visit.

Valeo, in Stuttgart, creates windshields on production lines, for a lot of car companies.

Valéo Production

The factories is a high-volume production.
It's made with lot of automatics machine of production where a technicien controler stay's near machine.
they have production nombers of pièce nearly 3000 by team of eight hour.
The visit was interesting about the technologie of production, the bilan economic is in progress,
but it's limitate comparate to mercedes about size of pièce production and differt about quality of production
Mercedes it's low-volume production, they made better part of car because, they past more time on the production of one part.

Impression of Valeo's factory

> Welcome to the article of Brice and Jonathan <

We are going to give our impressions and some information about the visit of the Valéo factory in Germany.

First, The manufactured products: This factory builds windshield wipers and their electric motors.

Then, The 2 manufacturing process of this factory (One for the electric motors and the second for the
windshield wipers) are: 2 simple production lines where the pieces for the final products are build & assembled.
This factory has an elevated volume of production.

> Our impressions of this visit <

So, we are surprised about the precision of the machines who works very precisely.
And size of the factory it's very impressive. We think it's very hard work to manage this prodution line.
